Old MBA Forum in a new style PDF Print E-mail

Finally, after a long search, the MBA Students Network has managed to transfer its old forum, which was based on the open source, PHPBB3 board to a new message board system, that integrates with the CMS System. We are now running kunena (the old fireboard) as part of the CMS programme (Joomla) This combination is hopefully better resistant to those culprits with bad intentions.

Furthermore, due to the integration and the popularity of Joomla, we should be able to better maintain the site and add new features over the coming months. The boards still need a clean up, but due to some personal circumstances (new job, birth of my daughter, move to a foreign country, absence of internet connection), this could take some time.

The idea is to transform this site from a University of Leicester only site to a more general MBA forum.

 Some of the features are currently not working (like the smilies), but this will be sorted out over time. Please bear with me for some time. The basic functions of messaging and uploading should work normally.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

University of Leicester

The university gained a staggering 8 places in 2008 in the University ranking and has reached to no. 12 after entering the top 20 in 2007.

The Good University Guide, especially named the University of Leicester as a top performing university not being in the London, Oxford, Cambridge triangle. As a website originating from this university we can be proud of studying at this institution. With student satisfaction scored at 4.1 finishing before Oxford and just after Cambridge and St. Andrews, the Leicester is among the top satisfying institutions according to students.

Additionally, the University of Leicester also receieved the title of University of the Year from the Times Higher. A good achievement from our University and certainly something to be proud of.


The MBA Students Network is pleased to see this progress made over the last two years and hope to contribute to this rise in the future.
